Frypans & Grills
Whether you're serving up a stir fry dinner or a lazy Sunday breakfast, we've got the frypans and grills for you. Shop our selection of stainless steel, non-stick, and more.
What frypans and grill pans does Myer stock?
Myer's range includes non-stick, ceramic non-stick, stainless steel, cast iron, hard anodised and cast aluminium pans, plus grill pans, skillets and pancake pans. You'll find small 15 cm pans through to larger sizes of 32 cm or more, available individually and in sets, with many induction-compatible options.
What's the difference between a frypan and a grill pan?
A frypan has a smooth, flat base that's ideal for eggs, stir-fries and everyday cooking. A grill pan has raised ridges that sear food and create char lines while draining away fat, which suits steaks, chicken and vegetables. Many cooks keep one of each.
Which frypan material is best?
The best frypan material depends on what you cook most. Non-stick and ceramic pans need little oil and clean easily, making them great for everyday use. Stainless steel suits searing and browning, cast iron holds heat well and lasts for years, and hard anodised pans are durable and heat evenly.
What size frypan do I need?
A 20 to 24 cm pan suits eggs and single servings. A 26 to 28 cm pan is a versatile everyday size for most meals, and 30 cm or larger is handy for family cooking and one-pan dishes. Having two sizes on hand gives you more flexibility for everyday cooking.
Will the pan work on my cooktop, including induction?
Most pans suit gas, electric and ceramic cooktops, and many are induction compatible, which requires a magnetic base. Always check the product description for cooktop suitability before buying, especially if you have an induction stove.
