Great coat, but unusually long sleeves!

This trench coat is made from lovely fabric that drapes beautifully. I usually wear a size 16–18 and purchased the size 16, which was a good fit overall. The only issue was the unusually long sleeves. I had to take the coat to a seamstress to have them shortened by approximately 10–12 cm, which meant losing the buckle detail on the sleeves. For me, this wasn’t a great loss as I actually think the coat looks cleaner and more streamlined without them. Given the additional cost and inconvenience of having the sleeves altered, I probably wouldn’t have been happy paying full price. Fortunately, I purchased it on sale, and with the alterations made, I’m very pleased with how it looks and wears.
