Faulty unit – kept turning off when clamping

Unfortunately, I had to return this straightener. I bought it especially for the steam function, but every time I turned the steam on, waited for it to be ready, and went to clamp it onto my hair, the entire device would completely turn off. It seemed to work fine on the heat-only function, but since I specifically purchased it for the steam feature, it was completely unusable for me. I was really looking forward to trying it out, so I'm very disappointed with the power issue.

I want to love it, but it’s just not getting there yet. It’s not straightening the way I had hoped it would. At this stage I’m just annoyed I can’t return it.
