Sweet, light amber scent with weak performance

Ambre Narguile is a lovely, sweet and boozy amber fragrance, delicately crafted with the care that master perfumer, Jean Claude Ellena brings to all his creations. It's sweet and light, as opposed to dense and heavy like many other amber fragrances. As such, it can be worn in the warmer weather, such as spring and autumn. However, the one downfall of this scent is that it's so light, after a short time I had to work hard to smell it and I prefer my scents to be more full-bodied and long-lasting. To combat this tendency, I found it's excellent layered with a niche perfume I own which is a real heavy hitter, but whose top notes I don't appreciate. The Ambre Narguile takes care of those top notes by introducing much welcome sweetness, whilst the niche scent gives body and longevity. I probably wouldn't purchase again due to the performance issues, but I'm enjoying it while I have it.
