I’m an auto electrician and I couldn’t even figure out how to mount the thing, the fittings the you use to extend/retract are poor quality and more importantly don’t hold enough force to keep the phone mount from bending/sagging down, my wife has a iPhone 13 Pro and it’s to heavy for this flimsy phone mount, wether it was mounted upside down (for mounting to the windshield) or mounted normally (on the dashboard) it flops around and bounces while driving which then will cause it to let go of the surface it’s suctioned too. I cleaned the dash surface with warm water to remove and contaminates and made sure it was dry before installing it so that it would have the best chance at staying stuck down but no matter what I did the phone mount would fall off before the afternoon, now my wife does part outside so the heat from the sun would be the cause of the silicone suction cup falling off, and that would be manageable if it wasn’t also very poor quality. Just buy one from a reputable brand that has overviews and videos on it.
