Hesitated for soooo long buying this machine for home use once we closed our cafes. Love high end single origin beans and thought the machine wouldnt live up to the quality of the coffee - god, was I wrong. It's amazing! To be fair: my husband is an experienced barista, but after a few tweaks and looking at some videos online anyone should be able to get a great result for black and milk coffee. My impression was that this was the best machine in Breville's line up, despite higher priced items and that it hasn't gone on sale when most other machines have make me think it's better made or somehow higher quality. After much research online before purchasing, many baristas/coffee geeks agreed that this was the machine to get. And the manual settings might seem less user friendly, but they're still dead simple. I thought I would continue to have a lot of coffee outside of the house despite owning the machine, but I only go out for coffee socially now despite living near amazing coffee shops - it's much more relaxing having it at home in a phenomenal cup and with the same amazing quality each time, just the way I love it. If youre on the fence, jump - and into some great lattes.
