Elegant tailored shrug but disappointing condition

I bought this to wear with a dress for a wedding and it did the job nicely. I liked that it’s more structured with sleeves and small adjustable buttons rather than just a wrap or scarf like many others I looked at. The gold colour is beautiful and it pairs well with formal outfits. Unfortunately when it arrived it had a very strong perfume smell, so I had to wash it before wearing it as there wasn’t time to dry clean it before the event. For something at this price point I expected it to arrive fresh and unworn. After a delicate cold wash with silk detergent it felt a little crisp, but it still looked nice for the occasion.
