Here are our top tips for getting the timing right:

• Plan well in advance: Write down shopping ideas early to make considered gift choices.
• Shop during the sales: Myer’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales make it easy to buy Christmas gifts at bargain prices.
• Manage your budget: By starting early and spreading your shopping out over several weeks, you can avoid a budget blowout.

Giving gifts at Christmas time is an expression of love. Here are some etiquette tips for gifting success:

• Consider the recipient’s interests: When you’re thinking about Christmas shopping ideas, try to buy items that suit the lifestyle of the person you’re buying for. For instance, a pair of hiking boots might not be great for a person who enjoys spending their evening at their gaming station.
• Bigger isn’t always better: A larger gift may not be suitable for someone with a smaller home.
• Wrapping matters: Make sure to buy quality wrapping paper so your presents look appealing.
• Accept gifts with gratitude: You should always thank the person who has given you a gift, regardless of its value.

Need to buy a Secret Santa gift for someone? Here are some great Christmas present suggestions for Kris Kringle presents:

• Coffee cups: A stylish set of coffee glasses is always a great choice for a smaller Christmas gift.
• Luxury items for the home: A soft and stylish throw for the couch or bed can make a lovely gift. Home fragrance gift sets are also good for Secret Santas.
• Gourmet condiments: Delicious food gifts like hot sauce and chutney are usually always well received.
• Fun toys: Myer has a huge selection of toys under $25 to make the Christmas season extra joyful!
